As most good things do, this collective grew organically.

It started with a humble Goddess Retreat, a women's only weekend of yoga and belly laughs in 2002 designed and led by Alison Sinatra. Fifteen years later, Alison's Goddess Retreats had become cult-y in a good way. Waiting list only, repeat customers, miracles happening, etc.

Inspired by the openings and connections that happened when each new constellation of women got together, Alison wanted a chance to go deeper. She and 15 other women committed to four weekends a year of self-study, prayer, and a little bit of yoga. Unlike a typical retreat, these weekends were designed and led by the group itself, commune style.

The results were profound and the sisterhood, which is still meeting, gave birth to a new idea: All Our Sacred Sisters.

Alison's Goddess Retreats were bursting at the seams. We created All Our Sacred Sisters to help her realize the dream of a larger gathering of women, one that pulled in multiple threads from her spiritual practices and allowed other teachers and guides to share their work.

We led our first retreat, Return of the Queen, in September 2017. 50 women gathered for a long weekend of movement, ritual, and prayer. It was, as promised, #almosttoosacred.

Our future dreams are big. We would like to provide scholarships, expand our offerings, draw more sacred sisters into the fold, and inspire societal change by enabling change within.

And so it is.
